Blistie's is a long-time staple in Holyoke. Originally opened in the late 70's or early 80's as DonMar's...this building on the south edge of town has served patrons as both a bar and a restaurant. The heydays of it being a late-night bar long behind it, Blistie's has settled in to being one of those quality small-town greasy spoon type places. A varied menu, from American staples, (burgers, chicken fingers) to Mexican, and on Friday nights, a quality steak house. I usually opt for the Rocky Mountain Oysters, a bar food delicacy that I can't find in Kansas City :)
If you find yourself in Holyoke, and need a place to grab a bite, you should definitely give Blistie's a try! It ain't fancy, but it is good! -

Service is nice. I've always had a happy, pleasant waitress but it's a little too dark in there for my preferences. The food is good but the menu changes depending on the day which can be frustrating.

Renovated since I was here last & looks much better, like a real restaurant. Not a bad bar, great stop if you're a fan of dive bars. A friend of mine is & loves this place. They have burgers, Mexican, salads & some fried selections (Rocky Mountain oysters & gizzards). Some inconsistency in cooking but I do like the hamburgers & salads. Portion sizes are great. You even have the option to downsize to half or quarter sizes. Give it a shot. Great local people & friendly service.

I have lived here for a few months and finally went to this place a few weeks ago. It is one of my favorite places to eat in holyoke (I have 3 favorites). They have healthy options and give the right portion sizes of sides which helps me to not over eat. The service is nice, just very slow. But they are looking for more help, so that could be fixed.
